A Stranger Lifted My Spirits

As I was working in my new shop for Emerald Coast Tours the other day, a guy poked his head in the door and said he was curious what was moving in there. He had been seeing us work for the last couple weeks and when he saw the bikes and segways, he knew it was us. Then he asked if I was Nic Schuck. I said I was. He said he read Native Moments and that he laughed his ass off during the dysentery scene. Said he felt so bad for Sanch, but couldn’t help laughing at his misfortune. I said thanks for reading it; glad you laughed. He said can’t wait to read more and walked on.

It was a great moment and made me want to keep writing. Sometimes making up stories feels like a waste of time. That guy made me think it’s worth doing. Thanks to all who have read it.

Native Moments is available on Amazon in paperback, ebook, and audio.
